Sacramento Voice-Over Workshops

Greetings from Voiceovers International!
No doubt about it, there is a lot of interest in the voiceover industry. We get lots of calls about it. The number one question people ask: "How do I get started?"

While having a great voice seems like a given for this business, it isn't all it takes. In fact, it's about 30% (at most) of what it takes to be a great voice talent. Training and networking are the most effective way to build a voiceover business. While doing voiceovers can be lucrative, it is also highly competitive, so the better trained you are, the better your chance for success.

Our January workshop has been moved to March. We're springing into 2011 with our two most popular voiceover workshops to be held on March 19, 2011 in Sacramento at Scott's Seafood in Loehmann's Plaza. We also have money-saving incentives if you sign up early.

Voiceover 101 Workshop--Introductory

Saturday, March 19, 2011
10 AM to 6 PM
Scott's Seafood in Loehmann's Plaza
545 Munroe Street (At Fair Oaks Blvd) Sacramento

Price: $250.00, includes continental breakfast, catered lunch, all materials and audio download of your recorded commercials. Early bird sign up price is $225.00, until February 15, 2011.

Voiceover 101 is designed for those who are brand new to the voiceover business and want an in-depth overview of how to start a voiceover business. Learn the skills you must develop to make money in this highly competitive business, what kind of cash you can make, what equipment you'll need, PLUS, learn the tips, tricks and techniques on how to deliver a professional-sounding voiceover. You'll also get practice time behind the microphone working with a variety of voiceover scripts along with a professional voiceover analysis of your work.

Voiceover 201 Workshop---Intermediate

Voiceover 201 is an intermediate skills workshop designed for those who have taken Voiceover 101 or have a bit of experience behind the mic and want to improve your skills to a level where you can compete for paying jobs. We'll introduce the 12 voiceover skills you need to master to compete with the pros, learn about the many genres of voiceover work and discover where your strengths lie and what opportunities await you. By the end of the day you'll have a good idea of what your "money voice" is! How to reserve?

Here's how it works:
Every Monday of the month you will be e-mailed a voiceover lesson and copy to record. You will complete the assignment and email the mp3 of the finished project to your voiceover coach. We will analyze and critique your work, and offer suggestions to make your voiceover shine.

You'll get:
Practice using your home studio, recording multiple takes, building mp3 files and sending them in the proper format.....it's what you need to do well in order to compete for today's voiceover jobs! Practice taking direction and interpreting what the director wants via email helps you become a diversified voiceover talent! Being comfortable with the technical side and recording quality audio is imperative. Often times the difference between winning and losing a job comes down to your technical abilities.

E-Mail Voiceover Training is only $100.00 per month, for 4 sessions, payable in advance. PLEASE NOTE: you must have the ability to record and send audio files from your home computer. Ready to sign up? We are limiting the number of participants to five students each. Your place is reserved with your $100.00 payment. We are now taking reservations for January 2011.
